COLUMBUS, Neb. (GoNeosho.com) – Neosho Men’s Soccer battled to a 1-1 draw against Central on Wednesday. Central opened the scoring in the first half, putting Neosho on the back foot early. However, the Panthers stayed focused, maintaining a strong defensive shape and creating chances to get back into the game. Neosho’s persistence paid off in the 60th minute when #9 Callum Niven netted the equalizer. Niven found space in the box and calmly finished to bring the match level at 1-1. Following the goal, Neosho ramped up the pressure, searching for a winner, but despite their best efforts, they were unable to find a second goal. The Panthers’ defense held firm, preventing Central from regaining the lead and walking away with one point. Looking ahead, Neosho will aim to build on this result when they return to action on Saturday, September 21st. Their next match will be held at the Chanute Community Sports Complex, with a 3:30 p.m. kickoff.
