CHICKASHA, Okla. (CCCTigers.com) – The Central Christian Tigers traveled down to Nationally Ranked University of Arts and Sciences in Oklahoma for an SAC match up. The Drovers proved their ranking with 3 goals in each half, as they celebrated their senior night with a 6-0 defeat of the Tigers.
The Drovers dominated possession in the 1st half with 12 shots at goal to the Tigers 1. The Drovers were able to get 2 quick goals at 5:33, and 6:47. After a shot at goal by Stephanie Zazueta, the Drovers quickly responded with shot at goal, saved by Celena Vanhaezebrouck, but got the next goal through to give the Drovers a 3-0 lead going into the half.
The Drovers came out quickly in the 2nd half and scored 2 goals in the 1st 6 minutes to stretch the lead to 5-0. The Tigers were able to get 2 shots at goal by Zazueta and Camri Coker, but again, the Drovers responded with a quick goal past goalie Jimena Munoz, to extend the lead to 6-0, and the Drovers were able to finish their senior day with a win.
The Tigers will host Southwestern Christian University (2-7-4, 1-6) on Saturday for Senior Night. Kickoff is set for 5pm, and can be seen on the SAC Sports Network.
