The Moundridge boys basketball team rallied from a 40-35 third-quarter deficit to upset the Hesston Swathers 50-49 Monday night at the Hesston High School gymnasium.
Moundridge outscored Hesston 15-9 in the fourth quarter. Hesston led at halftime 27-25.
Heath Churchill led Moundridge with 17 points and Easton Shahan added 15.
Ty Unruh led the Swathers with 14 points. Kason Landes scored 13 and Jerick Humphreys 10.
The Moundridge girls defeated Moundridge 60-53.
The victorious Wildcat girls trailed 15-13 after one quarter, 28-23 at halftime and 42-38 at the end of the third quarter.
The Hesston boys dropped to 19-2 and the Moundridge boys improved ti 17-3.
The Moundridge girls improved to 18-2 and the Hesston girls dropped to 12-9.
Hesston will play at Nickerson Tuesday and will host Haven on Friday.
Moundridge will play at Hutchinson Trinity on Thursday and host Remington on Friday.
