YANKTON, S.D. (CCCTigers.com) – The 2nd game in two days did not end with a Tiger victory as the Tigers fell 2-1 to Mount Marty in an inter-conference match Saturday afternoon, as the Tigers fall to 4-2-1 on the season. In one of the more offensively aggressive games for the Tigers, they were only able to get one goal on 20 shots at goal. The Tigers offensive pressure was not enough to top the Lancers defensive play. After giving up 2 goals early in the 1st half, by Zachary Hebda, and Arden Taylor, the Tigers were able to get themselves back into the game with a Marco Cherchi goal at 38:36. The Tiger played outstanding soccer in the 2nd half with near misses as Nicholas Arenare and Grant Adams both had shots hit the cross-bar and just missing the equalizer. John Stottlemire had 5 saves at goal.

This was a challenging week for the Tigers, playing 3 games in 5 days, now the Tigers (4-2-1) put their focus for their next game at home against Dallas Christian (2-4) on Saturday, September 21st. Kick off scheduled for 3pm. Game will be broadcasted on the SAC Network.
