McPHERSON, Kan. (MacBulldogs.com) —The McPherson College men’s soccer squad opened the home portion of their schedule Wednesday (Aug. 30) with a 7-1 loss to Briar Cliff University at McPherson Stadium.
The Chargers wasted no time putting points on the board, scoring four times in the first 14 minutes, including two goals within a 65 second stretch.
Benedict Mbogga netted his first career goal less than two minutes into the second period, but from there it was all Chargers, as they tacked on three more to close out the game.
Briar Cliff outshot the Bulldogs 30-7, with a 17-3 advantage on-goal.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday (Sep. 2) at McPherson Stadium to take on Doane. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
