BARTLESVILLE, Okla. (TaborBluejays.com) – The Bluejays traveled to Oklahoma Wesleyan for their final regular-season conference game of the 2024 season. Facing the league’s undefeated top-ranked team, Tabor knew they had to be fully focused and dialed in to compete.
Tabor found themselves trailing for most of the game as Oklahoma Wesleyan came out firing early, scoring within the first four minutes and adding three more goals by the 18-minute mark. However, Tabor responded in the 25th minute, when Felipe Rodriguez finished off a brilliant assist from Andre Trigo to put the Blue Jays on the board.
OKWU dominated offensively with 30 total shots on the night, while Tabor struggled to break through the Eagles’ defense, managing just three shots, with only one on target. Tabor battled relentlessly throughout the match, never backing down against the top-ranked team in the conference.
The Bluejays wrapped up their 2024 season with a mixed but determined performance, reflecting on the positives of the year despite some challenges along the way. Finishing with an overall record of 5-9-3, they showed resilience and growth throughout the campaign. In conference play, they ended with a 5-7-1 record, proving competitive against some of the league’s toughest teams. While the final results didn’t always reflect their efforts, the Bluejays can take pride in the progress made, the experience gained, and the foundation they’ve laid for future success.
