SALINA, Kan. (MacBulldogs.com) – The McPherson College Bulldogs were held to a season-low 65 points Wednesday (Nov. 20) in their KCAC showdown against (RV) Kansas Wesleyan inside Mabee Arena in Salina, Kan.
Charles Snyder pulled down a career-high 17 rebounds to go along with 14 points for his first double-double of the season. Jamil Hardaway continued his hot streak, connecting on four of his six shots from beyond the arc en route to 14 points. Aaron Williams Jr., rounded out the Bulldogs double-digit scoring, finishing with 11 points.
MC was held to a season-low 33.8 percent shooting, and were just 6-for-21 from distance. The Bulldogs scored 30 of their 65 points in the paint.
Things were back-and-forth over the first ten minutes of the half until the Coyotes offense took over to grab a 15-point lead. KWU would take a 44-32 lead into the break.
The Bulldogs began to slowly chip away at the deficit to open the second half, cutting it to a 55-52 Coyote advantage with just over 10 minutes to play. However, that would be the closest the Bulldogs would come, trailing by three or more the rest of the way.
Alex Littlejohn led the way for the Coyotes with 21 points and eight rebounds. Izaiah Hale added 10 points, while Evens Appolon was a force at the rim, blocking eleven shots.
The Bulldogs return to Holman Fieldhouse Saturday (Nov. 23) for another stout KCAC matchup against Ottawa University. The Braves come into the contest riding a five-game winning streak, and are 2-0 in KCAC play. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
