BOULDER, Colo. (MacBulldogs.com) – The McPherson College women’s track and field team competed at the Colorado Invitational this weekend.
Charity Williams posted a ninth-place finish in the 60m hurdles after crossing in 9.24. In the 60m, Zakeirah Johnson crossed the line in 7.87, which was good enough for 12th.
The Bulldogs had solid performances in the field events as well. Cara Shultz took home a second-place finish in the weight throw. She turned in an attempt of 14.50m. Kara Alexander’s 12.79m on her final attempt was good enough for fourth place. Stephanie Schmidt notched a ninth-place effort in the high jump with a mark of 1.51m. She also earned a 10th-place effort in the long jump after recording an effort of 3.99m on her final attempt.
Alexis Wolfe posted a mark of 8.79m in the shot put on her first attempt, which was good enough for eighth place. Schmidt had a mark of 8.46m in her third attempt, allowing her to take home 10th place.
The Bulldogs return to action Feb. 6-8 at a meet hosted by Northwest Missouri State University.
