WICHITA, Kan. (MacBulldogs.com) — Arthur Nardy has been named KCAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week, following his outstanding performance at the KCAC Individual Championships, the league announced Monday (Sep. 16).
“Cannot be prouder of this young man,” head coach Keiran President said. “He has shown and reminded us as a coaching staff what we do it for. Arthur has grown so much as a player but more as a person! His personal growth made a great impact on his tennis. I can’t wait to see all what he can accomplish during this season and the rest of his time here.”
Nardy, a native of Eauze, France, won a pair of KCAC Individual titles over the weekend. He knocked off the fifth, second, and fourth seeds en route to the KCAC #2 singles title. Nardy finished off the run with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Oscar Giorgio from Ottawa.
Then, alongside doubles partner Jayson Wasserfuhr, Nardy claimed his second KCAC title of the weekend, defeating teams from Friends, Sterling, and Bethel.
Nardy and the rest of the Bulldogs are back in action this weekend for the ITA Regionals in Salina, Kan.
