NEWTON, Kan. – The McPherson High School Girls Swimming team won the Newton Invitational against 7 other local schools by nearly 80 points, including winning multiple individual and relay events.
The Bullpups won a total of 6 events, including the 200 Freestyle, 200 Medley, and 400 Freestyle Relays as well as individual events with Danica Brunk winning the 200 Ind. Medley, Bree Pickerell winning the 500 Freestyle, and Rachel Fischer winning the 100 Breaststroke.
“This was a fun meet for us and a great way to finish off our regular season,” head coach Angela Brunk said. “We had a lot of great swims and several new consideration and state qualifying times.”
The Bullpups will have their AVCTL meet Friday, May 10 at the Hutchinson YMCA.
