TOPEKA, Kan. – The Girls Swim team at McPherson High School began its season in Topeka on Thursday, March 26, placing 2nd place in the Topeka West Invite.
Adyson Wiens had a strong day, earning State Consideration in two events: 100 Butterfly and 100 Breaststroke, placing third in both events. All of the results for McPherson can be seen below.
Head coach Angela Brunk was happy with the young team’s effort. “After losing several fast seniors last year, we have had to rebuild and find some new talent,” Brunk said. “Almost half of our team is made up of freshmen, but they were great point contributors at this meet. I was excited to see we placed 2nd at our first meet out of the gate.”
The Bullpups will head to Wichita Heights for another invitational on Friday, April 3.
