McPHERSON, Kan. (MacBulldogs.com) — Senior safety Nehemiah Figueroa had a career-day Saturday (Sep. 7) to earn both NAIA and KCAC Defensive Player of the Week Honors.
The Boyertown, Pa. native was unstoppable in the win over Sterling College, intercepting three passes, and returning one for a touchdown. Figueroa also finished with 12 total tackles, including six solo stops.
“Nehemiah is an incredible athlete and an even better person,” head coach Jeremiah Fiscus said. “He’s an all-in, team player that plays extremely hard, is highly coachable, and competes at the highest level possible. The people around the program are very happy for him for him in this recognition of the way he performed.”
In his two games against the Warriors dating back to 2023, Figueroa has five interceptions, a touchdown, 15 tackles, and a fumble recovery.
Figueroa and the Bulldogs are back at it Saturday (Sep. 14), traveling to Leavenworth, Kan. to take on the University of Saint Mary. Kickoff is slated for 1:00 p.m.
