WICHITA, Kan. (MacBulldogs.com) — For the second week in a row, Jalil Brown has been named the KCAC Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday (Nov. 11).
“We’re super proud of Jalil’s performance,” head coach Jeremiah Fiscus said. “To get the honor in back-to-back weeks is unique. He gave a big effort and had a special day individually.”
The Seagoville, Texas native had a big day in the Bulldogs narrow loss to No. 20-ranked Friends on Saturday, rushing for 140 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries, and caught six passes for 59 yards and a touchdown.
Brown’s second carry of the game was an explosive one, racing 72-yards for a touchdown to put the Bulldogs on top 7-6 early.
“The guys around Jalil were major contributing factors as well,” Fiscus said. “It takes all of them doing their jobs for individuals to showcase their talents and abilities.”
Brown and the Bulldogs will be back in action Saturday for the regular season finale against Southwestern College at McPherson Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
