McPHERSON, Kan. – McPherson Athletic Director Shane Backhus announced Thursday afternoon that changes will be made to the schedule for the McPherson Invitational Tournament, which in turn will impact the Mid America Classic, due to the incoming winter storm in the area.
Day one of the McPherson Invitational will go on as scheduled. Day two on Friday, Jan. 23, will have all four games played, but the first game will be played at 10:00 a.m. rather than 3:00 p.m. The final day has been moved to Saturday, Jan. 31. There will be no games on Saturday, Jan. 24.
The games on Jan. 31 will run in conjunction with the final day of the Mid America Classic. The first game of the MIT will begin at 9:00 a.m. that day, with boys’ and girls’ games alternating through the day.

Friday, Jan. 23:
- Consolation Semifinal #1: 10:00 a.m.
- Consolation Semifinal #2: 11:30 a.m.
- Semifinal #1: 1:00 p.m.
- Semifinal #2: 2:30 p.m.
Saturday, Jan. 24:
- No games.
Saturday, Jan. 31:
- 7th Place Game: 9:00 a.m.
- 5th Place Game: 12:00 p.m.
- 3rd Place Game: 3:00 p.m.
- Championship: 6:00 p.m.
Mid America Classic:
Thursday, Jan. 29 & Friday, Jan. 30: No change
Saturday, Jan. 31:

- 7th Place: 10:30 a.m.
- 5th Place: 1:30 p.m.
- 3rd Place: 4:30 p.m.
- Championship: 7:30 p.m.
The MAC’s Free Throw and 3-Point Contests have been cancelled.
