McPherson Boys Soccer Pitches Another League Shutout, Beats Circle 8-0

McPHERSON, Kan. – McPherson High School Boys Soccer won in shutout fashion on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at home, defeating Circle 8-0 to earn their second league shutout win in as many days, and their third in a row.

It was Jackson Martin’s turn to earn a hat trick, scoring three goals in the first half. Ben Bocox finished with two goals and an assist. Manny Morales had one goal, but assisted on four others. Yahir Valadez and Parker Riemann found the back of the net as well.

McPherson scored eight times on 11 shots on goal. GK Gabe Standfast had seven saves in the match, allowing zero goals for the third straight game.

The Bullpups are on a three-game win streak and have won five of their last six. They have a 7-5-0 record on the season. They will finally get some much-needed rest before returning to action Tuesday, Oct. 14 at Augusta.
