Marion Girls Lock Down Defensively in Win Against Trinity Catholic

MARION – Kate Wessel scored a game-high 16 points, Dylan Kraus added 14, and the Marion girls continued their rise on Friday by locking down defensively in beating Trinity Catholic 38-20.

After a 0-3 start, Marion is now 5-4.

Marion led 14-8 after one quarter, and then held Trinity to just 12 points over the final three quarters. The Warriors led 26-11 at halftime, but Trinity’s defense also stood out in the second half, holding Marion to 12 points.

Brecken Dowsey and Anika Paulsrud led Trinity with six points each.
