Little River, the defending Kansas Class 1A Division I state champions, will be going for its fourth straight state championship.
The Redskins (39-2 this year, 39-6 in 2024) defeated Sedan in their sub-state opener 25-7, 25-7 and Olpe in the championship match 25-13, 25-15.
Olpe defeated Colony-Crest 25-18, 25-20 in the semifinals.
The Kansas Class 1A Division I state tournament will take place next Thursday through Saturday at Dodge City’s United Wireless Arena.
Little River will be joined at the Class 1A Division I state tournament by Goessel (31-10), Frankfort (11-29), Centralia (33-8), Montezuma-South Gray (36-4), Spearville (34-6), Quinter (28-10) and Tribune-Greeley County (28-10).
