The girls basketball teams from Little River and Pretty Prairie will compete in the Kansas Class 1A Division I state tournament quarterfinals.
Little River (23-1), the defending 1A DI girls state champion, defeated South Haven 76-23 in the championship game of the Madison sub-state No. 1.
Little River led 24-9 after one quarter, 48-12 at halftime and 75-15 after three quarters. South Haven outscored the Redskins 8-1 in the fourth quarter.
Arika Feldman led the Little River girls with 19 points. Havana Olander and Dempsey Lafferty each scored 15 and Avery Lafferty chipped in with 11. Adalyn Irey led the South Haven Cardinals with 7 points.
Pretty Prairie defeated Norwich 41-35 in double overtime to win the Madison sub-state No. 2 championship.
Pretty Prairie will take a 21-2 record to the state tournament quarterfinals.
South Haven finished the season with an 18-7 record and Norwich posted a 16-9 mark.
