Sterling, Kan. (SCWarriors.com) – The Lady Warriors made quick work of the Barclay College Bears Tuesday night with a quick, three-set win. The sweep is the third of its kind this season as the Warriors improve to 4-0 in this young season. Sterling won in straight sets by scores of 25-14, 25-15, 25-15.
With Sterling taking the early lead and cruising most of the way to the win, many players got significant time and spread out the stats fairly evenly. Five Lady Warriors had five or more kills, but none had more than six. The assists were spread between four players and were led by Senior Setter, Aubrey Young. It was a good opportunity to play a lot of different players in a nonconference setting as the season gets started.
The Lady Warriors look to continue their momentum this weekend when they play four games in two days against a more difficult lineup of teams at the College of the Ozarks tournament in Point Lookout, Mo. This will be another good opportunity to see the competition they may have to compete against later on this season.
