KU Coordinators Talk Illinois Win, Look Ahead to Nevada

Kansas football will look to start the season 3-0 for the second consecutive year on Saturday night as the Jayhawks travel west to take on the Nevada Wolfpack. If KU is able to emerge from Reno, Nevada with a victory, it will be the first time since 1991 and 1992. The game will kickoff at 9:30 p.m. CT and will be televised on CBS Sports Network.

Against Illinois on Friday night, Jalon Daniels made his return to the gridiron and threw for 271 yards and two touchdowns on 21 for 29 passing. He also added another 24 yards on the ground. Lawrence Arnold fished the day as the leading receiver with 89 yards on five catches while Devin Neal led the team with 120 rushing yards and a touchdown. Daniel Hishaw also looked good on the ground with 98 yards and a touchdown. As a team, KU gained over 500 yards offensively. Defensively, KU limited Illinois to 341 total yards and 6.1 yards per play.
