KC Iola Hormigas Falls in North Platte in Blowout Fashion

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. – The KC Iola Hormigas fell on the road against the North Platte ’80s in blowout fashion Thurs., July 24, losing 25-2.

12 of the 25 runs for North Platte happened in the fifth inning, but the team was already leading 8-0 at that point. The ’80s had 18 hits, drew 13 walks, and were hit by seven pitches. Only three of the 18 hits went for extra bases.

The Hormigas had 10 hits and drew seven walks. Devan Radar and Zachary Trangmar had three hits each to lead the team. Aunuan Franco and Xander Nabors had the team’s other four hits, both finishing with two hits.

The Hormigas fall to 12-29 on the season. They’ll rematch the North Platte ’80s Fri., July 25 at 6:30 p.m.
