MANHATTAN, Kan. (247sports.com) – Kansas State has landed 7-foot-1 center Dorin Buca, GoPowercat confirms.
With uncertainty surrounding Tyreek Smith’s eligibility, Jerome Tang & Co. have added the 22-year-old from Italy, as he provides the Wildcats with a much-needed boost in the paint, becoming the tallest player on the roster.
In a versatile manner, Buca operates near the rim, possessing the ability to get downhill and create his own points. Playing in A2 in Livorno, Italy’s 2nd division, Buca averaged 5.6 points and 16.7 minutes while connecting on 60.8 percent of his field goals.
Buca joins bigs Marcus Johnson, Taj Manning, Khamari McGriff and Elias Rapieque, and potentially Tyreek Smith depending on his waiver.
