Indians Remain Victorious Following 68-0 Shutout Over Vikings

ANDALE, Kan. — The Andale football team scored early and often against Smoky Valley on Friday.

Andale took advantage by starting drives in Smoky Valley territory and never looked back in a 68-0 victory over the Vikings. The Indians scored 33 points in the opening 12 minutes with three rushing touchdowns from Sam Harp, a 9-yard touchdown run by Jack Horsch, and Noah Stanley reeling in a 45-yard touchdown pass from Harp. Andale recorded three more rushing touchdowns in the second quarter: an 11-yard run by Jrayton Dansel, a 22-yard run by Lane Parthemer, and a 1-yard run by Horsch.

The second half would be contested with a running clock, with Andale’s junior varsity scoring on both of its drives. Backup quarterback Brayden Spexarth capped off a 10-play drive with a 2-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, and Aiden Allaire added a 58-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. 

Harp was a perfect 6-for-6 passing for 122 yards and a touchdown, and added three rushing touchdowns. The Andale defense produced three turnovers and scored on each of them, and held the Vikings to 51 yards of total offense. 

Andale (6-0, 2-0 3A District 6) travels to Wichita Trinity next Friday to continue district play. The Knights fell to Hesston, 66-34. Coverage on Andale Radio, Adastraradio.com, the Ad Astra Radio App, and Ad Astra TV begins at 6:30 p.m.
