ANDALE, Kan. — Andale seniors Sam Harp and Jack Horsch accounted for six touchdowns as the Indians defeated Pratt, 57-7, in a Class 3A sectional matchup on Friday night.
The Indians put together a 12-play drive to start the game, with Horsch scoring from three yards out with 5:58 left in the first quarter. After turning the ball over on downs on its second drive, Andale found the endzone to start the second quarter with Harp scoring from six yards out. Nearly 4 minutes later, Harp scored again from six yards out making it 22-0. After Sam Kuepker recorded his second interception of the game, Harp found Horsch for a 30-yard touchdown reception, making it 30-0 at halftime.
Harp added a 2-yard run, Noah Stanley had a 14-yard run and Horsch with a 3-yard run triggering a running clock at 4:06 left in the third quarter. Pratt avoided the shutout with a 5-yard touchdown run from Caleb Strong with 32 seconds in the third. Emmett Eck had the lone fourth quarter score on a 5-yard touchdown run.
Andale held Pratt to 76 yards of total offense and forced the Greenbacks to throw three interceptions, two by Kuepker and one by Horsch. The Indians had 392 yards of total offense with Horsch having 84 yards on 15 carries and three total touchdowns. Harp rushed for 105 yards and 60 yards passing and three touchdowns.
Andale (11-0) will host Rock Creek (11-0) in a battle of undefeated teams for a berth to the Class 3A State Championship game in Hutchinson next Friday. Rock Creek defeated Cheney, 14-7.
