The Hutchinson Salthawk varsity girls wrestling team placed seventh in the McPherson Doug Kretzer Klassic Saturday at the Smoky Valley High School gymnasium in Lindsborg.
The Salthawks scored 106.5 points to edge out seventh-place Newton, which scored 106 points.
Junction City won the tournament title with 203.5 points, followed by Maize/Maize South 149.5, Abilene 139, El Dorado 135 and Smoky Valley 127.
Nickerson High School entered two wrestlers. Brooklyn Schneider went 1-2 at 130 pounds and scored her team’s 3 points. Olvia Kinast went 0-2 at 125 pounds.
