The Hutchinson Trinity Catholic High School girls tennis team tied for seventh place at Tuesday’s Ellsworth Varsity Invitational.
Ellsworth won the team title with 67 points, followed Conway Springs 56, Central Plains 50, Smoky Valley 38, Wakeeney-Trego Community 38, Ellinwood 20, Hutchinson Trinity 5 and Concordia 5.
Trinity coach Shelley Dinges’ lineup consisted of Aissa Lorden at No. 1 singles, senior Hazel Wuertz at No. 2 singles, senior Therese Little and sophomore Maycee Wasinger-Burnette at No. 1 doubles and freshman Gracie Goering and junior Audrey Wilson at No. 1 doubles.
Lorden placed seventh at No. 1 singles, Goering and Wilson placed seventh at No. 2 doubles, Wuertz placed eighth at No. 2 singles and Little and Wasinger-Burnette placed eighth at No. 1 doubles.
Ellsworth won No. 1 singles (Karli Haase), No. 2 singles (Hannah Vague) and No. 1 doubles (Reygan Coonrod-Inarie Rippert). Conway Springs won No. 2 doubles (Hayley Pauly-Maddie Stevens).
