The Hutchinson High School volleyball team opens the season Saturday at home with the Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League Preseason Tournament.
The tournament starts at 9 a.m. at the Salthawk Activity Center.
Other schools competing in the AVCTL Preseason Tournament are Andale, Andover, Dodge City, Goddard Eisenhower, Goddard and Haysville-Campus.
The Hutchinson Salthawks, coached by Josie Armstrong, posted a 17-18 record during the 2024 season.
Returning players for the 2025 season include Myka Thompson, Bryten Ashcraft, Tenley Keeton and Lynnea Alvarez.
Newcomers include Ella Fredrick and Aah’Lice Jackson.
