Members of the Hutchinson High School cross country team competed at the Wichita State JK Gold Invitational Saturday at Clapp Park in Wichita.
The Hutchinson boys varsity runners placed 14th out of 19 teams with 398 points.
Hutchinson’s Cristian Medina placed 50th out of 138 runners in the men’s varsity 5K race with a time of 18 minutes, 59.13 seconds.
Aiden Koontz placed 86th with time of 20:20.2, followed by Lalo Rodriguez, 102nd, 21:00.46; Colin Pfannenstiel, 136th, 25:06.38; and Ryan Rudolph Penka, 137th, 25:13.55.
Hutchinson’s Jacob Rogers placed 128th out of 178 runners in the boys junior varsity 5K race, followed by Collin Patton, 142nd, 25:41.86; and Will Reade, 166th, 29:48.1.
The Hutchinson varsity girls were represented by Avery Tecklenburg, who placed 63rd in a field of 115 with a time of 24:30.39.
The Salthawk JV girls were paced by Aaida Brown, who placed 65th out of 118 runners with a time of 29:43.41. Allison Henning placed 72nd with a time of 29:54.63. Arissa Brown placed 97th in 33:09.41.
