The Hutchinson Central Christian volleyball team lost to Hanover 25-15, 25-9 in the championship match of the Kansas Class 1A Division II sub-state Saturday at Hanover.
The CCHS Cougars defeated McPherson-Elyria Christian 24-26, 25-14, 25-14 in the first round. Hanover defeated Stafford 25-5, 25-6.
Hanover will take a 31-7 record to the Class 1A Division II state tournament at Emporia’s White Auditorium.
Hanover will be joined at the Class 1A Division II state tournament by Linn (32-9), Melvern-Marais Des Cygnes Valley (39-2), Axtell (27-13), Ingalls (35-5), Bucklin (25-11), Dighton (28-12) and Victoria (34-6).
