HUTCHINSON, Kan. (BlueDragonSports.com) – Hutchinson Community College freshman midfielder Kira Artmann was named the KJCCC Division I Women’s Soccer Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Artmann a freshman from Boblingen, Germany, had a four-point week for the No. 18 Blue Dragons (3-1-1).
Artmann tallied an assist in Hutchinson’s 3-0 victory over Dodge City last Wednesday. The midfielder then scored a goal and tallied an assist in the Blue Dragons’ 3-2 road loss at No. 10 Butler on Saturday.
For the season, Artmann now has two goals and three assists for seven points. She has one game-winning goal to her credit. She has scored at least one point in 4 of 5 games played this season.
Artmann is the second-straight Blue Dragon player to earn KJCCC Player of the Week honors. She joins teammate Haley Rogers, who was the league Player of the week on September 3.
The Blue Dragons play host to Coffeyville at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the Salthawk Sports Complex. Hutchinson travels to Barton at 1 p.m. on Saturday in Great Bend.
