IOLA, Kan. – The KC Iola Hormigas defeated the Santa Fe Fuego Tuesday 8-4 in Iola, giving them now a three-game winning streak.
After an 18-hit performance Monday, they followed up with 13 hits Tuesday. Reed Carter, Nicholas Chaves, Devin Radar, and Zachary Trangmar had two hits to lead the team. Chaves and Radar had three RBI’s each.
Jacob Slocomb got the win, throwing seven innings allowing just four hits and striking out four. Jacob Strobel got the save, throwing two full innings and keeping the lead for the Hormigas.
The team is now 6-14 on the season and will close off the three-game series vs. the Fuego Wed., June 25 at 6 p.m. at Allen Community College.
