TOPEKA – Hutchinson Community College sophomore sprinter Sidney Holt jumped two spots to No. 2 on the Blue Dragon indoor 200-meter charts with a strong showing on Friday at the Ichabod Invitational at Washburn University.
Holt placed sixth in the women’s 200-meter finals with a personal-record time of 25.02 seconds. That moved Holt up to No. 2 on the Blue Dragon indoor all-time 200-meter chart. She just missed qualifying for nationals by 0.11 seconds.
Blue Dragon throwers Xylavene Beale and Deisheline Mayer Scott continued their strong indoor season in the shot put on Friday.
Beale won the Ichabod Invitational with a top throw of 48 feet, 10 inches (13.80 meters). This was her second event victory of the 2026 indoor season.
Mayer Scott placed fourth in the shot put on Friday with a throw of 45-3 1/2 (13.80 meters). This was Mayer Scott’s third Top-10 finish of the season in the shot put.
Day 2 of the Ichabod Invitational begins at 10 a.m. Saturday in Topeka.
