Hesston Men’s Basketball Falls in KC

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (HCLarks.com) – The Hesston College men’s basketball team fell to Kansas Christian 85-70 on Saturday (November 30).

Hesston came out strong, building an early 10-point lead in the first half but saw their advantage slip as Kansas Christian surged ahead, powered by efficient shooting and dominance in the paint. Hesston shot 33.3% from the field and matched that percentage from beyond the arc. The team was led by Jammial Hicks with 19 points, including four three-pointers, while Terryon Stebbins and John Probey contributed 11 points and seven boards each.

Kansas Christian, shooting 50% from the floor, capitalized on their inside game with 62 points in the paint. Isaac Lane was instrumental, posting a double-double with 24 points and 16 rebounds, while Damon Werts added 26 points and 7 steals.

The Larks will be back in action on Tuesday (December 3) as the JV and varsity host Southwestern College at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.
