Hesston rolled to a 55-6 victory over Nickerson on Homecoming Night Friday at Hobbs Stadium in Hesston.
Hesston led 14-6 after one quarter and 41-6 at halftime.
Hesston’s Blayne Wilson scored on a 6-yard TD run and Swathers’ quarterback Jerick Humphreys scored from 1-yard out to give Hesston a 14-0 lead.
Nickerson’s Kris Monroe scored Nickerson’s first touchdown. He set it up with a long pass to Riley Brawner.
In the second quarter, Humphreys hooked up with Kason Landes for a 32-yard TD pass and Gavin Larson on a 73-yard TD pass. Humphreys added a 4-yard TD run for a 41-6 lead.
In the third quarter, Wilson scored on a 4-yard run and Timothy Rhodes added a 10-yard TD run.
Nickerson will host Andale next Friday. Andale defeated Wichita Collegiate 54-7.
