The Haven Wildcat girls tennis team qualified three players for the Kansas Class 3-1A state tournament at the Conway Springs regional.
The top six singles players and top six doubles teams qualified for the Class 3-1A state tournament Oct. 17-18 at the Salina Tennis Center on the Kansas Wesleyan University campus.
Singles player Kensie Popp and the doubles team of Karlee Cooprider and Bayleigh Minnis qualified for the Class 3-1A state tournament. Popp finished fifth in singles and Minnis-Cooprider placed sixth.
Popp will take a 13-8 record to state. Cooprider and Minnis are 14-10.
Haven’s Madison Richey competed in singles and Kayla Rose and Sorrel DeFrain competed in doubles. Richey lost in the second round of singles and Rose-DeFrain lost in the second round of doubles.
Conway Springs won the regional title with 24 points, followed by Classical School of Wichita with 19. Haven placed third with 5 points.
