Halstead Boys 1st, Dragon Girls 2nd at Elyria Christian CKTL Track Meet

The Halstead High School boys track team captured the Elyria Christian Central Kansas Track League meet Tuesday.

The meet took place at the Goessel High School track.

The Halstead boys finished first with 165 points, followed by Goesel 107, Elyria Christian 55, Lyons 21 and Peabody-Burns 1.

Goessel won the girls team title with 148 points, followed by Halstead 128, Elyria Christian 40, Peabody-Burns 18 and Lyons 12.

First-place winners for the Halstead boys: Eli Wilcox, pole vault, 10-0; Hudson Hawkins, long jump. 20-2.25, and 200, 24.39; Dacen Dedman, triple jump, 37-10, and 100, 11.58; Noah Brantley, discus, 124-7; Jacob Bennett, javelin, 116-8; 4×100 relay, 44.98; 4×400 relay, 3:49.16; and 4×800 relay, 10:14.16.

First-place winners for the Halstead girls: Jordy Schroeder, high jump, 5-2; Mackenzie Ervin, pole vault, 8-0; Annie Williams, long jump, 16-8; Khloey Schauf, discus, 97-3, and shot put, 30-4-.75; Mariel Garza, javelin, 100-11; Briley Allmon, 3200, 14:28.42; 4×100 relay, 51.82; and 4×400 relay, 4:28.64.
