The 2025 Kansas Gatorade Football Player of the Year is Ian Premer, a standout athlete from Great Bend High School.
Premer, a 6-foot-6, 240-pound tight end/wide receiver/running back/linebacker/defensive back, was recognized for his exceptional two-way performance, leadership, academics (4.0 GPA, first in his class) and community involvement.
Premer signed a letter of intent to play college football at the University of Notre Dame.
Premer was recently named to Sports in Kansas Top 11 and is SIK’s 11-Man Defensive Player of the Year. He also is the Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year and was named the league’s top offensive and defensive player.
In addition to football, Premer is one of the top basketball players in the state of Kansas and one of the state’s top baseball players.
