Grace Pyle Named MIAA Player of the Week Again


KANSAS CITY, Mo. ( – Pittsburg State University junior guard Grace Pyle has been named the MIAA Player of the Week for the second time this season on Monday (Feb. 5).

Pyle helped lead the Gorillas to a 2-0 week on the road with 19.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.5 made threes and 3.5 assists a game while shooting .500 percent from three and the field. A native of McPherson, Kan., Pyle began the week with 23 points, seven rebounds and five assists while going 5-of-7 from three (.714) and 7-of-9 from the field (.778) against UCO. To end the week against the Jets she finished with 16 points, seven rebounds and four made threes in 24 minutes of action.

Up next for the Gorillas and Pyle will be Central Missouri (Feb. 7) and Lincoln (Feb. 10) at John Lance Arena/Whetzel Court for the first home action in the month of February.
