Former Conference Foes Wichita State & Loyola-Chicago Agree to Men’s Basketball Home-and-Home Series

WICHITA, Kan. (GoShockers.com) – Former Missouri Valley Conference foes, Wichita State and Loyola Chicago, have agreed to a home-and-home series, beginning in 2025.

Wichita State will host the Ramblers in Charles Koch Arena on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025 and make the return trip to Chicago in 2026 with a date to be announced at a later time.

The two programs were members of the MVC for four seasons together before Wichita State departed for the American in 2017. Loyola has since joined the Atlantic 10 Conference. Wichita State never lost to the Ramblers during their stint together in the MVC. The Shockers are 27-9 all-time vs. Loyola and enters the November matchup having won the last 11 meetings. The last time the two teams squared off, Wichita State defeated Loyola, 81-64, in Chicago on Feb. 12, 2017.

Loyola is coming off a 2024-25 campaign that saw the Ramblers reach the semifinals of the NIT. They finished the season with a 25-12 record and a 12-6 mark in the A-10. Drew Valentine enters his fifth season at the helm of the Loyola program, having led the Ramblers to three 20-win seasons. During his tenure as head coach, the Ramblers have a Missouri Valley Conference Tournament Championship, a NCAA Tournament appearance, an Atlantic 10 Regular Season Title and two NIT appearances.
