WICHITA, Kan. (TaborBluejays.com) – The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) has announced their selections for the KCAC Bissell Division Preseason Team, as voted on by the coaches from the schools that make up the conference’s Bissell Division. This year’s selections consist of four sophomores, ten juniors, and 19 seniors.
Five student-athletes from Tabor earned spots on the Preseason All-Division Team.
Brooks Gardner was one of two players in the division to be recognized in two different positions: linebacker on defense and long snapper on special teams and earned First Team All-KCAC honors at the long snapper position and Second Team All-KCAC at the linebacker position.
Seniors Deonte Hill and Ian Quiring were selected on the offensive side of the ball, with Hill being selected last season to Honorable Mention All-KCAC honors.
Senior Jayton Alexander and sophomore Darriene Gibbs joined Gardner on the defensive side of the ball, with Alexander earning Honorable Mention All-KCAC honors a season ago.
The Bluejays look to start the 2024 season off on the right foot as they host Highway 56 foe McPherson on Saturday. The game will kick off at approximately 6 PM at Joel H. Wiens Stadium in Hillsboro.
