HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The Hutchinson Community College football team remains No. 1 for the fourth-straight week in the NJCAA Division I Rankings, which were released on Monday.
The Blue Dragons moved to 4-0 for the season and earned their first Jayhawk Conference victory on Saturday after a 37-7 victory over Coffeyville at Gowans Stadium.
The Blue Dragons play their third road game of the season against a ranked opponent. Hutchinson travels to No. 10 Butler (3-1) at 7 p.m. on Saturday in El Dorado.
For the third-straight week, the Blue Dragons received 9 of 10 first-place votes and held a 149-141 point advantage over No. 1 Iowa Western.
After previous No. 3 Kilgore lost on Saturday, Iowa Central moved up to No. 3 with Mississippi Gulf Coach at No. 4 and Snow at No. 5.
Dodge City makes its first appearance in the Top 15 this season at No. 15. The Blue Dragons play most to Dodge City on October 7 at Gowans Stadium.
The Blue Dragons have now been ranked in 23 consecutive ranking period.
