Despite 22 points from Danai Morgan, the Hutchinson High girls couldn’t keep up with a powerful Derby team on Friday, as Derby won 59-39.
Morgan did most of her damage in a strong third quarter, when she hit three 3-pointers and scored 11 points.
The Salthawks fall to 9-9 and are tied for ninth place in the Class 5A West substate standings.
In the boys game, Derby had a strong offensive game in winning 82-51.
Hutchinson returns to action Tuesday at Campus.
