MANHATTAN, Kan. – Derby, Kan. and Derby High School Wildcat upcoming senior Defensive Back Martel Jackson announced his commitment to play collegiate football in Manhattan at K-State, announcing via X (formerly Twitter) Sunday afternoon.
According to his social media, K-State was Jackson’s first Division I offer. He then took an official visit on June 7 then committed Sunday, June 9.
Jackson, who is 6-foot-2 and 175 lbs., is a three-star recruit on 247Sports and the 8th best football recruit in Kansas for the class of 2025. In his junior year at Derby, he recorded 38 total tackles en route to their State Runners-Up 2023 season.

Jackson also finished in 3rd place in the 200M Dash and 5th in the 100M Dash in the 6A Track & Field State Championships in Wichita last spring.
