Central Christian Girls Place 4th at Thierholf Wilson Relays, Cougar Boys Finish 9th

The Hutchinson Central Christian High School girls track team placed fourth and the Cougar boys finished ninth at the Thierholf Wilson Relays Friday.

The meet was hosted by Marion High School.

The Cougar boys totaled 21 points, led by a first-place effort by Cal Barnett in the triple jump (41 feet, 6 inches). He also was third in the high jump (5-4).

Konnor Sullivan placed their din the 110-meter hurdles (14.8 seconds) He placed eighth in the shot put (37-6) and 11th in the 200 hurdles (46.14).

The Central Christian girls scored 49 points.

Central Christian’s Addi Loudenback placed second in the girls 300-meter hurdles with a time of 50.64 second and was fourth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.6 seconds.

Harper Newcome was second in the long jump (15-2). Townsly Huff was second in the javelin (100-3) and third in the high jump (4-10).

Elyse Wyatt was sixth in the 200-meter dash (28.36) and Sophie Graham was seventh in the long jump (14-4).

The 4×400 relay team placed second (4:29.49) and the 4×100 relay team was third (54.0).

Smoky Valley won the girls team title with 137 points, followed by Marion with 83 and Goessel with 64. Marion won the boys team title with 104.5 points, followed by Oxford with 74.3 and Smoky Valley 70.
