MANHATTAN, Kan. (247Sports.com) – Cal State Fullerton guard Max Jones will transfer to Kansas State, GoPowercat confirms.

The 6-foot-4, 210-pound guard averaged 15.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 27.5 minutes per game last season. One year prior in 2022-23, Jones was an All-Big West Honorable Mention, where he helped lead the Titans to a Big West Championship Game appearance.

Jones is the fifth transfer portal addition this offseason, following Dug McDaniel, CJ Jones, Baye Fall and Brendan Hausen. The Wildcats now have four scholarship spots available.

After beginning his collegiate career at the University of Tampa, Jones was named Sunshine State Conference Freshman of the Year.

Cal State Fullerton struggled last season, finishing with an overall record of 14-18. However, during his first season as a Titan, Jones led his team to a 20-win season.

Jones is more than capable of shooting the 3-pointer, connecting on 42 of his 109 attempts from beyond the arc last season.

New Mexico, Texas A&M, FAU, Mississippi State and Loyola Chicago, among others, were involved in Jones’ recruitment this offseason.
