Bullpups Win Fourth Straight, Defeat Circle 72-47 on Wall of Fame Night

McPHERSON, Kan. – The McPherson High School Boys Basketball team dominated the rebounding battle to defeat the Circle Thunderbirds at the Roundhouse 72-47 on Saturday, Jan. 17, for Wall of Fame Night.

Following the recognition of the new inductees on the Roundhouse Wall of Fame, which included the 2025 Boys Basketball State Championship team, the Bullpups utilized stellar rebounding and a fast-paced offense to win their fourth consecutive game.

McPherson outrebounded Circle 41-26, including 15-6 on the offensive glass. Cole Cooper led with eight rebounds, adding 11 points. Eli Reasoner led all scorers with 20 points, shooting 5/9 on the floor and 10/13 at the free-throw line. Jett Pyle added 19 points, shooting 3/7 from three.

The win moves McPherson to 6-5 on the season, and also moves them to first place in AVCTL-3 play with a 4-1 league record. The Bullpups will now prepare for the McPherson Invitational Tournament, which begins Thursday, Jan. 22. McPherson will face Blue Valley in their first round matchup at 7:45 p.m.
