Bullpup Volleyball Wins Two in El Dorado, Doile Surpasses 1,000 Digs

EL DORADO, Kan. – The McPherson High School Volleyball team continues to stay hot towards the home stretch of the season, winning both of their matches in El Dorado on Tuesday, Oct. 7 to extend their win streak to 10 games in a row.

McPherson swept the home school, the El Dorado Wildcats, in two sets (25-11, 25-12) before facing league foe Circle. After falling in the first set 15-25, McPherson bounced back to win set two 25-13 and a deciding set three 25-17.

Ava Romero led the team with 17 kills, 21 digs, and three plocks. Adalyn Barrow tied a team-high with three service aces while adding 11 digs. Rylie Whitfield had 43 assists.

Senior Brooke Doile recorded a milestone during the triangular, tallying her 1000th career dig. The reigning First Team All-State honoree also recorded 16 kills on the day.

The Bullpups are 24-4 on the season, currently putting them in 3rd in the 4A West Sub-State standings. They will have a home invitational Saturday, Oct. 11, which has been moved to Salina South High School due to ongoing repairs of the Roundhouse floor. Following the invitational, they will have two triangulars next week before preparing for Sub-State.
