McPHERSON, Kan. – McPherson High School Volleyball punched their ticket to the 4A State Tournament in Hutchinson after winning both matches of Sub-State on Saturday, Oct. 25.
The Bullpups earned the opportunity to host Sub-State, but had to relocate to Canton-Galva High School due to the ongoing fix of the McPherson Roundhouse floor. McPherson started off with a 2-0 win over Ulysses (25-10, 25-10), advancing them to the Sub-State title game, where McPherson would defeat Wellington 2-0 (25-19, 25-18).
McPherson will return to the 4A State Tournament, which will take place at the Hutchinson Sports Arena. Pool play will take place on Friday, Oct. 31 before bracket play ends the season on Nov. 1. The Bullpups will enter the tournament with a 32-5 overall record.
Joining McPherson in Hutchinson for the tournament are Bishop Miege, Rock Creek, Paola, Topeka-Hayden, Andale, Clay Center, and Buhler.
