The Red team was headed by the Doubles team in Avery Unruh & Quinn Liebl, who finished in the top spot in a perfect 4-0 on the day. Avery Eveland & Erin Olson finished in 7th place after going 2-2. In the Red team singles tournament, Maryn Sandbo finished as the runner-up and Dragon Rodriguez finished in 3rd with both players finishing 3-1.

Sep. 28 – Tournament of Champions @ Wichita-Collegiate
In one of the toughest, if not the toughest, tournament that the team will partake in, the Bullpups finished 16th as a team out of 20 schools consisting of schools of multiple classifications, but the team finished 2nd among the 4A schools.
In the Singles Tournament, Maryn Sandbo finished in 14th place going 2-3 and Dragon Rodriguez ended in 19th with a 3-2 record. In the Doubles Tournament, Avery Unruh/Quinn Liebl went 4-1 to finish in 9th and Avery Eveland/Erin Olson ended going 1-4 to place 30th.
“Many may look at the team finish and think we didn’t have a great tournament, but the only 4A school that finished above us was Independence,” head coach Tyler Brown said. “We also knew going into the tournament every match would be tough but 5 of our 6 girls had to play the #1 or #2 seed in the 1st round or 2nd round of the tournament. So when you have to go backside of the bracket early it is impossible to place very high as a team. With that said, 4 of our 6 girls in a loaded field were able to get a minimum of 2-3 wins which was the ultimate goal at a tournament like this. This week we will have our last regular season meet at Goddard and then all we have left is League, Regionals and hopefully State.
