TOWANDA, Kan. – The Bullpup softball squad remain undefeated at 5-0 on the season after a run-rule win in game one 16-5 and a thrilling finish in game two 7-6.
GAME ONE
McPherson 16, Circle 5 (5 inn.)
The Bullpup offensive onslaught kicked off game one following a 10-run first inning, giving them momentum moving forward. After Circle scored in the 1st, 3rd and 4th innings, the Bullpups would answer each time, scoring 16 runs on 17 hits.
All starting batters recorded at least one hit.

GAME TWO
McPherson 7, Circle 6
The Bullpups scored the first 5 runs, but Circle would put up four in the bottom of the 4th. Both teams would tack on two more in the 6th to make it a 7-6 game. After the Bullpups were held scoreless in the top of the 7th, the T-Birds tried to bring in the tying run. They were able to put a runner at third with two outs, but the Pups grounded out the final batter, escaping Circle.
